Looking to explore the Yukon with the intent of hiking? This itinerary is for you. It is focused on taking the Dempster highway up from White Horse, stopping at the lovely town of Dawson City, and ending in Kluon. It is a bit rushed, but all these places are worth the visit. Please add more time to Kluon on Dawson City if you have more time. Fly into White Horse, where you can rent a vehicle and ensure you have needed supplies before your trek. You'll be hiking for four days through the remote northern Canadian Yukon. It is worth noting that in the prime time months to hike Tombstone, the daytime is longer, which gives less probability you will see a strong Aurora Borealis, so it's good not to get your hopes high.You'll spend 5 nights doing the Grizzly Lake to Talus Lake hike in Tombstone and a swing by Haines Junction to fly over Kluane National Park. It will be a grand time!&nbsp;Note that the Grizzly Lake area in Tombstone requires hard and competitive permits to be able to go, so do the <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://yukon.ca/en/hike-camp-tombstone#camping-at-tombstone-territorial-park">research and be ready to buy the permits immediately on release once a year</a>, or you'll miss the chance.

The Amazon rainforest is the largest rain forest in the world spanning from Brazil, Peru, and Columbia with smaller portions in several other countries. While Brazil contains the most significant portion of the Amazon with 60%, Peru is second in line with 13%. Peru is special because the Manu Cloud Forest is at the base of the Andes mountain range which is quite an amazing sight. You can see the clouds full of friction rolling off the Andes and descending to the cloud rainforest where naturally lots of thunder storms occur.The biodiversity in the Amazon jungle is vast, filled with many species that have evolved and optimized to adapt to a harsh environment and adapted to the world of the small. In the Amazon, much of what there is to see tends to be smaller bugs and birds that have adapted to become much larger than you would image. There are a few larger animals to be found from the Capybara, Sloths, Jaguars, and Caimans. Most of what you will see are a vast variety of birds and insects. If you are lucky you will also get to see the rare (and going extinct) Giant River Otter.The Amazon is truly an amazing place to visit and explore, in the core zones it is generally free of the black market activities that plague the exterior parts of the rain forest. You will have action packed days ahead of you filled with boats trips, hikes, climbing to the top of a tree on a lookout station (to see the top of the rain forest canopy), bird watching (make sure you get to see the Macaw clay lick rocks). The Macaws have developed an intriguing social culture around coming and eating claw every morning and it is truly amazing getting to bear witness to it.Getting to the Amazon takes quite a bit of time, two days in and one day out.&nbsp;<h4>&nbsp;</h4><h4>What to bring</h4><ul><li>Hiking shoes, you will be walking on even and rooted surfaces.</li><li>To protect yourself from the mosquitos, bring mosquito repellant. It won't repel all mosquitos though so I do recommend also bringing a breathable rain jacket in which mosquito needles will be unable to pierce. It will be hot so choose to have a rain jacket on which is going to make it feel warmer but protect from bugs or accept the bugs with less clothes.</li><li>(optional) Bring light breathable gloves that will protect the hands from mosquito needle noses.</li><li>(optional) Bring something to cover your face some from bugs.</li><li>Recommend going with an established guide company for their expertise. The Jungle is filled with many dangerous things, and it is this expertise that will allow you to visit safely and find more rare to see animals.</li></ul>

Washington

Mt Rainier is an epic technical mountain located in Washington State, US. It is by no means an easy climb and a great mountain for training for the most difficult mountains on planet Earth. The climb itself is technical, requiring rope and tool skills to climb fairly steep glaciers. On this grand journey, you will face amazing views of Washington, the grand glaciers of Rainier, and six of the great volcanoes in Washington and Oregon. Yes, that's right! Rainier is volcanic and has many more surprises in store for anyone ready to embark on this grand climb.<figure class="image image_resized" style="width:75%;"><img src="https://itravel-wise-cdn.azureedge.net/itinerary-images/images/20210712_061913-322757.jpg"></figure>The Disappointment Cleaver (DC) route is traditionally a 2 to 3-day route where you will start at the Paradise resort area and park your vehicle. Next, you will pass by two of the major campsites on Rainier (Muir and High Camp), where you'll find yourself at the spine of the Disappointment Cleaver which is strong enough to leave the mighty glacier in two as it slowly flows down the mountainside. Rainier Climb (DC Route)

Bocawina National Park is the “land of the Jaguar,” as the entire area is a Jaguar nature preserve. With that said, the odds of seeing a Jaguar are rare. They are mostly nocturnal. That doesn't make Bocawina any less beautiful, and you should consider the entire area an adventurer's namesake. From zip lines, waterfall cliff jumping, waterfall repelling, hiking, and bird watching, Bocawina has a wide variety to keep you busy. The only cautionary I must warn is that Bocawina is full of sun flies and potentially botflies (known for laying their eggs on your skin). The botflies are very rare, but the sun flies are not. We were eaten alive by those sun flies, and they seem unphased by mosquito repellent. With that in mind, we wouldn't miss Bocawina if given the opportunity! Bocawina is a National Park full of activities, and you can visit it from nearby towns. We chose to stay directly in the national part at Bocawina Rainforest Resort &amp; Adventures, located at the park's heart.&nbsp; For those wanting a longer stay, the guest services there even offer group tours out of the resort to surrounding attractions, but we didn't make use of the services.

Bocawina National Park, Belize

Caye Caulker is one of two gorgeous islands off the coast right near Belize City (where you can fly into). Belize City will have ferries that take you to both islands (make sure to board the right one)! Caye Caulker is famous and known particularly as the island sits on a giant underwater cave system and might be slowly collapsing. Some time ago, the island split into two! Now called the split, you can imagine being a local, and the horrifying feeling you'd feel given your home island is now twice the islands than it was the day prior.Caye Caulker is great to see marine wildlife from snorkeling, scuba diving, and relaxing around the island. The locals on the island are very friendly, and on multiple occasions, you could sit down and talk to folk freely and learn about how it is to live there. Caye Caulker used to be centered around fishing, but the locals have put forward great efforts to make it a tourism destination, which I can now highly recommend.The ordering of the days listed below is flexible. You can re-arrange depending on the weather quickly enough. There are numerous hotels on the island. I recommend finding one that offers bicycles as an amenity as walking on the island might be nice, but you'll tire of it. Biking around is the way to go. Pay attention, and you'll see some wild iguanas roaming about.
